Most resumes are filtered out at the first stage: they’re incompatible with ATS, lack the right keywords, or don’t match the job description. Three specialized Claude prompts allow you to tailor your resume for a specific position and find suitable job openings based on the updated document.
How to get a recruiter’s assessment
The first step is to save your LinkedIn profile as a PDF and find the job posting that interests you. Both documents are uploaded to Claude along with the first prompt. It asks you to assume the role of a recruiter or hiring manager for the specific position and score your resume out of 100. Additionally, you need to identify five missing keywords, three red flags, describe experience gaps, and suggest five substantial improvements.
This assessment shows which parts of your resume need to be fixed before you apply: which skills to add, which phrases to rephrase, and what gaps the recruiter will notice.
Rewrite your resume to match the requirements
Based on the feedback received, the second prompt asks you to create a new resume ready to send. It uses the DEAL framework—an approach that prioritizes relevant experience, naturally integrates keywords from the job description, highlights measurable achievements, and removes distracting elements. An important condition: don’t invent or exaggerate.
Claude analyzes your full LinkedIn profile and selects information most useful for this specific role. It takes the identified shortcomings and red flags, incorporates necessary keywords, and creates a new document fully tailored to the position.
How to work with three prompts
- First promptRecruiter assessmentMatch score, missing keywords, red flags, experience gaps, high-impact changes
- Second promptResume rewritingDEAL framework, keyword integration, measurable achievements
- Third promptJob search30 positions from the last 3 days, compatibility score, sorted by relevance
Find job openings that match your updated resume
The third prompt uses Claude’s Web Browsing feature to find LinkedIn job postings that match your revised resume. The query requests a list of 30 positions posted in the last three days. Three days is the timeframe when jobs are still fresh and have received the fewest applications.
Claude assigns a compatibility score of 0 to 100 percent for each position. Results are sorted by relevance and geography: the system matches openings near your specified location. The output is a list with links for direct application to selected positions.
What to focus on when selecting roles
After you receive the list of job openings, focus on positions where the compatibility score is at least 70 percent or higher. These are the roles most likely to pass the first screening and get you an interview invitation.
If you need additional filtering, Claude can easily adapt the prompt: for example, to show only remote positions or roles above a certain salary level. You can repeat the job search daily for fresh opportunities.

Apply the method over one week
The most effective way to use this approach is sequentially: each day, select a new job posting, use Claude to rewrite your resume for it, and then apply to the top 10 or top 20 matching positions from your search results. Using this method consistently over one week can yield dozens of interview invitations and job offers.
It’s important that your complete LinkedIn profile serves as the foundation for this method. If all your achievements, skills, and experience gaps are listed there, Claude will be able to most effectively select and rephrase information for each specific employer.
