Form I-907 is a request for Premium Processing Service for certain USCIS petitions and applications. It’s necessary when standard processing times take too long. The form must be completed without errors, otherwise USCIS will reject it.

Which Forms Require I-907

Form I-907 accelerates processing of specific petitions. First and foremost, it is used for Form I-129 (employer petition for a foreign worker) and Form I-140 (petition for an immigrant worker visa). Additionally, the form applies to certain categories of I-765 (work permit) and I-539 (extension of stay status).

You can submit I-907 in two ways: online or as a printed PDF. Online submission is available only for certain categories and only if your USCIS profile already allows you to submit the related petition electronically. Otherwise, use the paper form.

Cost and Documents Before Completing the Form

The filing fee depends on two factors: how you submit the form (online or by mail) and which petition you are expediting. The current amount is always listed on the USCIS website.

Before starting to complete the form, be sure to read the filing instructions. They contain important reminders—for example, that the form must be signed, otherwise it will not be accepted. The instructions also specify which codes to use for your situation and contain additional links.

First Part: Basic Information

The first field of the form is reserved exclusively for USCIS—do not fill it out. The second field is filled out only by an attorney or accredited representative. If you do not have either, start with the next field.

Alien Registration Number (A-number) is an immigration identification number for those who have already submitted any petitions. The number starts with the letter A and contains seven to nine digits. You can find it on your work permit card, green card, or in USCIS notifications. If you have never had such a number, write “does not apply.”

USCIS online account number is filled in if you have ever submitted documents through your personal account on the USCIS website. If not, also write “does not apply.”

Next, enter your last name, first name, and middle name (if applicable) exactly as they appear in your passport. The middle name is a second given name, not a patronymic. If you do not have a middle name, leave the field blank.

Company or organization name is filled in only if the petition is filed on behalf of a company, not an individual. If the petition is filed by an individual, leave the field blank.

In the address section, provide the mailing address where all correspondence regarding your case will be sent. This includes the recipient’s name (In care of name), street address, apartment or office number, city, state, zip code, and country. If there is no apartment number, simply leave this field blank.

The next question asks whether the mailing address matches your actual residence address. Check “yes” or “no.” If they do not match, provide the physical address separately.

Second Part: Request and Petition Information

First, indicate who is submitting this request: the petitioner themselves, the petitioner’s attorney or representative; the applicant/beneficiary or their attorney/representative.

Related petition form number is the code of the form for which you are requesting expedited processing. For example, I-129 or I-140.

Receipt number of the related petition is entered only if the petition has already been filed and you have received an official number. If you are submitting I-907 at the same time as the petition itself, the number does not yet exist—leave this field blank.

Classification or requested category is the type of visa or status. The form instructions will tell you which code to choose for your situation.

Next, fill in the petitioner’s information. If the petition is filed by an individual (not a company), provide their full name. If filed by a company, leave this field blank.

Beneficiary information (the person on whose behalf the petition is filed) is a required field. If any item does not apply to your situation, leave it blank.

If the petition is filed by a company, provide the company’s contact person, their position, and the company’s identification number. For a U.S. company, this is the EIN (Employer Identification Number), which can be found in registration documents.

Petition address is provided depending on who is filing: the applicant’s address, the employer company’s address, or the beneficiary company’s address.

Third Part: Declarations and Contact Information

In the third part, you read the text and make a choice. If you understand English and have read the form without questions, mark the appropriate box.

If a translator helped you, mark this and specify the language in which the translator read all questions and instructions to you.

If someone helped you complete the form, mark this and enter their full name.

Provide contact information for the person who prepared this request: phone, fax (if available), and email (if available). Enter the date of submission and sign clearly and legibly by hand.

If you use the services of a translator or preparer, they sign their names and date in the corresponding fields. If they were not used, write “N/A” in those fields.

Last Page: Additional Information

On the last page, again provide your last name, first name, middle name (if applicable), and A-number (if you have one).

If there is not enough space on the main part of the form and you need to add information, specify the part number, page number, and item number to which you are adding information, then write the additional text. If this sheet is not enough, simply print another sheet and continue.

Remember: every field on Form I-907 is important. The filing fee and available expedited processing categories depend on which specific petition you are expediting. If you are unsure whether expedited processing applies to your situation, consult with an attorney before filing.
